Course Offerings:   Active Shooter Response:
 

  1. Awareness Level: (4 hours) This is a lecture for armed first responders; it will provide the required guidance for individuals to understand how to function at an active shooter incident. Officers will be presented with the information needed to prepare them for what must be done in order to save as many innocent lives as possible.
  2. Topics Covered:

    Proper mindset Dynamic environment Processing data
    Operational focus Positional dominance Priorities of work
    Response tempo Critical decisions Medical response

  3. Level 2: (2 days) This course is designed to address the individual Officer’s response tactics and ability to function during an active shooter response. The class will include the awareness lecture, as well as teaching the Officer tactics and techniques used to stop the incident. The course will provide a learning platform to take the Officers to operational levels; the final FTX will be a force on force training exercise. Officers will leave with a clear understanding of what to do to save lives at an active shooter incident.

    Team tactics Managing corners Positional dominance

  5. Level 3: (3 days) This course is designed to address the individual Officer’s response tactics and ability to function during an active shooter response. The class will include the awareness lecture, as well as teaching the Officer tactics and techniques used to stop the incident. The course will provide a learning platform to take the Officers to operational levels; the final FTX will be a force on force training exercise. This class will include a live fire package on the 3rd training day, speed and accuracy is stress to ensure judicious applications of force in this difficult environment. Officers will leave with a clear understanding of what to do to save lives at an active shooter incident.

Professional Education: (4 hours) This is a lecture for Educators, business and professional persons; it will provide the required guidance for individuals to understand how to function at an active shooter incident. You will be presented with the information needed to prepare for what must be done in order to save as many innocent lives as possible. This is a very real threat anyone can find themselves in, knowing what to do can literally mean the difference between living and dying. Prepare yourself to respond properly.
